Well this is just a test anyway, so who knows. I was born in Houston, Texas in 1955. Later that same year my family moved to Newton, Mississippi. we moved to the Jackson, Mississippi area when i was 3 years old. I went to Pucket High School and graduated in 11 years, at the age of 16. I went on to attend Mississippi State University for 2 years. I moved to Houston,Texas in 1980 for 1 year before moving on to Beaumont, Texas, where I lived for the next 2 years. In 1983 I got married and moved to the Hot Springs, Arkansas area on a job transfer. I could not see eye to eye with management there and later quit and used my time off to build me a house. I opened a local video buisness that I ran for 9 years. I am now an unemployed dud, still living here in Arkansas.
I have several interests. To many as far as time and money goes.
I got into ham radio a few years back. I met Phil, that worked at Radio Shack in the same shoping center, . We later became good friends as well as co workers in my buisness. I walked into Radio Shack to ask some questions about 10 meter ham radios. I was thinking, at the time, of installing a long distance radio into a boat I was thinking of buying. I wanted to know how far you could talk on one.He informed me that I could do what I wanted on 11meter without the hassles of tests. Phil, Dennis, and myself started hanging out on 11 meters for several months before we all ended up upgrading to a novice, where we hang out on 10 meters with other buddies, Phil knew. (Harley and ZZ Top nuts!!! ) In a matter of months we all upgraded to tech. 2 meters ruled for many years as we became well known as the "Slugs". You have to be pretty low to be a "slug", and we all qualify. We still hang out some on the "Slug Net" ( 146.42mz) , but a lot of us chat on the computer now. The Slug Net is rather dead now days. We can't figure out who is the bigest dud. For the most part, it's Phil and I, that keep things going. It's been some time sense we published the "Slug Times" a seldom released news letter, that is rarer than a spotted owl.

Scuba was my passion for many years. We have beautiful clear lakes here in Arkansas. I love snorkling and diving the rock formations. Spear fishing is great. I prefer snorkling when doing it. The fish do not spook as bad. I got spoiled after diving in the Florida Keys. Its just not the same. That's how I got into radios. I wanted to get a live aboard boat, in the Keys. I have also been diving on a wreak in Panama City, Florida. It was wonderful 100ft visibility!! Nothing beats the trip to Cozmel, Mexico. I went on a trip with the local dive shop. We had a ball! Partyed late at night and went diving the next morning for 5 days. The clearest water I have seen. Visibility was 200+. Guys, it does'nt get much better than this. The one plus the Keys had, was the reefs were shallow, thus the colors were great.

I have been in love with flying ever sense I was a kid. I joined the ROTC when I went to college, with the intention of being a pilot in the Air Force. Things later changed, and I finaly got my private pilot licence April of 1996. Unfortunatly the cost of flying has kept me on the ground much of the time, but love going up when I can. The problem I have found is, no one wants to go up with me. I had no idea that people feared flying in small planes, as they do. So far I have only taken my sister up once. she loved it. My dad wants to go up. He lives like 350 miles away. One day I might fly over to see him. All my flights as pilot in comand have been local site seeing. He is here visiting right now and hope to go up, if the weather is ok. I have been on cross country flights to Jackson, Ms., Oklahoma, and other Arkansas cities.
I am into computers and the internet. When I first got on line, I all most passed out from no sleep. An addict, I am!!!! I have calmed down a bit. I go to most gun and knife shows in the area.I love outdoors stuff. like camping, boating, swiming, snorkling, riding ATV's, hiking, and site seeing in any scenic area. That is why I moved to this state. I love traveling.
